I like Jersey in the future, by a five year contract for a 31 year old Tarasenko sounds iffy to me.

Sharangovich deal is no good, takes him straight to UFA and I don't see him agreeing to that low an AAV. Would be much better to give him 4-4.5m at 5+ years.
McLeod is way overpaid here and should be the 13-14th forward by 23-24, if he's cleared from the hockey Canada scandal that is.
Along with McLeod there's no need for Sundvist or Motte in the lineup as Boqvist, Zetterlund, Thompson and Foote will be at least as good (if not outright better) as them by 23-24.
Arseni Gritsyuk should also be in the team by next season.

I like the Tarasenko signing, though perhaps that's one year too long for a guy that will be 31 when signing it.
The Palat contract will be problematic enough on its own in the future.

I agree on term with Sharangovich, but the price really depends on this season. If he plays like the second half of the season, $4.5 is fine with me, but if he's like the early half it'll be cheaper.

I also agree not to go after another 30yr old UFA. Not saying Tarasenko is bad, just not a good move forward due to Palat's deal.

Maybe there is no difference except the 1.5m per year Tarasenko makes more in this post. Not saying I loved the Palat term either. Who else was offering 7 years? But Kadri who will be 32 when the season starts got 7 years, Huberneau got 8 years and is 30 when his new contract starts. Maybe the 30 is the new 25 according to NHL GMs
