Pettersson is the only player that the isles would consider trading Dobson for. There is no other realistic combination of forwards/prospects/ picks you can use to acquire him.

Not gonna lie we really don’t need anymore garbage Noah Dobson/Mat Barzal/Ilya Sorokin trades. Not sure how a team with those 3 misses the playoffs anyway lol. They have an older forward core but if you have good centers, good defenseman and an elite starter you should make the playoffs.

Even if Nelson regresses going from Chara and Greene to Salo and Romanov is a huge difference. And I’m not entirely sure why people r the worried about Nelson when he will get 1st unit Power Play time with Barzal and Dobson. He won’t shoot over 20% again but it’s not like he’s gonna bottom out either lol.

The East is very top heavy plus a tough division. I agree with you they will be improved with Romanov but it's tough in the East. The Islanders can certainly be in the mix in the Metro though.

Lol I don't take it personally mate. NYI is a solid team top to bottom and I like the moves they've made. No doubt in my mind Dobson is signed either to a bridge or long term and both are acceptable to him/agent. They are just waiting on the Kadri piece or another move to happen first.
