Jets Decline
Not trading one of our 2 RHD for unwanted and unneeded LHD and LHW.. and adding more cap in the process

Leafs pass on this, we talk with the 1st removed or Topi removed you can't have both nor will Van get anything more than a 1st, a mid level roster player and a mid level prospect for a rental

Nick Foligno got a 1st and a mid round pick as a rental. Kyle Palmieri got a 1st, 4th, a prospect, and minor leaguer. Giroux got a 1st, good prospect, and a 3rd. Miller is far far better than Foligno and Palmieri, and better than Giroux was when he was traded, so why would he only get a 1st and mid level pieces?

Mostly because Van has been asking too much for too long at this point and Miller has had 1 season that would be considered better than the players you listed outside of Foligno (who was acquired for other tangibles

So asking too much for too long makes him cheaper than lesser quality players? I think there's a hole in this argument lol.

“Miller has had 1 season that would be considered better than the players you listed”

That statement proves you don’t pay attention to the league apart from Toronto. In the last 3 seasons Miller has been a PPG player. He’s 12th in the league in points and 19th in PPG in that span. He has a better PPG than the likes of Ovechkin, Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Scheifele, Zibanejad, Connor, Aho, Eichel, Stone, Point, and Tavares in the last 3 seasons. But you think he’s on the same level as Kyle Palmieri?
