Wheeler is old and is going to decline very very soon , and it sounds like he isn’t the greatest guy in the Locke room. Why should Vancouver give up the younger, and well liked player?

Sure but Garland isn't worth 9M to get 50 points, Winnipeg is better off to buy him out than retain more than 3M

According to the beat reporters in Winnipeg, the Jets don't want to retain salary in a Wheeler trade so that means that he is likely staying with the Jets unless they are going to toss in a sweetener.

It got changed to Ottawa? Yeah he's not worth a 2nd and they'd need to do better than Stanley

Only move that would make sense is a clear upgrade on Hamonic and Zaitsev

It would also require to play him on his off-side since he is LD
