Arizona isn’t trading chychrun to get a Florida 24 1st, they’re after 23 picks, not to mention brink just had surgery. Nothing works in that trade

Whether or not LA decides to extend Sanheim, Philly doesn't get extra compensation for years that they do not control the player. There's a reason why the NHL decided to get rid of the conditional draft picks based upon re-signing in the return to play CBA MOU.

As far as the Chiarot comparable, that is regarded as one of (if not the single worst) trade of the 2022 trade deadline.

Again, it wouldn't be a bad trade, you're undervaluing Sanheim immensely if you don't think he's worth a 1st. The Hampus Limdholm trade is a much comp, and Sanheim was WAY better than him last year...

Sanheim gets more than that, especially if he plays like he did this year. Arizona isn’t taking that deal and you’d get more, at least a first, for Atkinson if you’re retaining. Meanwhile if Philly’s smart they’ll realize they should play JVR top six so they can flip him for max value. The guy does score.
