If you want to make your team immeasurably weaker go ahead and take the easy way out. Don't forget you can't take cap back in trading Girard. So now your 5th and 6th D are MacDermid and Englund and you are tight to the cap. Joe knows that's not a recipe for success.

Newhook’s upside is higher that what Schmaltz is now no way COL does that. This bottom 6 is ragged and missing Meyers.

Avs are better off trying Newhook at 2c and trading for a 3c with a year left on their contract like Eller or Kerfoot

Yea I think the bottom 6 and the third line here don't look very good. If they could make a deal like this one without giving up Compher AND Newhook and have either one of them on the third line it would look a lot better imo

I think it depends on what kadri wants. If it’s 8+ that a large difference. Schamltz contract was a big reason I put the value high. I think on the avs he’s probably 70 pt guy.
