Description

This is what it takes to get Matthew Tkachuk. A proven elite winger, only 24 years old, just came off a 42 goal, 104 point season. Doubters who say that his stats were inflated because he played with Gaudreau, well he's playing with Hughes and Bratt now, two excellent playmakers. Nemec is expendable, the RD position is stacked. With another top 4 LD, and an established starter, this team can be good for 10+ years.

RD isn't stacked if they can't afford to keep Severson after trading for Tkachuk... Devils aren't going to trade Nemec weeks after drafting him at #2.

They were in serious talks around pick 2 and 198 for Tkachuk at the draft. Now that he's told the team he wants out his value magically skyrockets to the guy taken with that 2nd overall pick, a top 15 prospect in hockey, and 2 first rounders? Delusional.
