I'm not saying I think the Flames would or should rebuild. I honestly have no idea. But assuming they are, as a Leafs fan these are the two players I would be interested in.

Flames fans, in a hypothetical world where you are rebuilding, what does it take to get one of these two with what the Leafs have?

Leafs fans, what would you be willing to give up for either of these players?

Taxi squad is players that are not likely to make the Leafs roster that might be of interest. Also, Knies is not signed, and I doubt the Leafs will trade him, but signed him as he's really the only reserve list player that would truly impact a trade. Sandin is also not signed yet, but I think this is what his contract probably looks like.

Also, obviously salary would have to be moved out to make this work, but let me have my hypothetical fun.

Lindholm- Nylander, Kerfoot and a first rounder. They can flip Nylander at theTDL for a 1st rounder ++ Kerfoot would get a 2nd round and top prospect at TDL. So in the end they would receive 2 first rounders a 2nd rounder a top prospect and ++ 6 pieces in the end. You can put Tavares on the wing with Lindholm and Jarnkrok( defensive responsibility).
