I know he has talent but Merkley is wildly worse than Zub. Didn't do anything Offensively and was horrible defensively.

Sens desperately need to KEEP Zub, not move him. An RHD that can suck up minutes and shut play down like him will be essential for the long term success of this team. They need to add an established top 4 Dman, not a project.

This makes no sense for Ottawa.

Zub is their second best defender right now, and the only right hand shot in their top 4. He is a legitimate top 4 defender. He is worth more than Merkley.
