I don't think Davidson agrees to this, 16m+ for a RD prospect and only upgrading to a 2nd from 5th? I believe it would take a 23 1st and a 24 2nd to take this. Really puts a strangle on what would be left of cap space.

We could definitely put a strangle hold on CBJ but another team would likely take a deal like this knowing they can flip Voracek for more futures either at this TDL or next. We are likely without Toews and Kane 1 year from now so thats $21m cap space coming off the books and also the strong possibility of Athanasiou and Domi also off the books with no one really to sign apart from some smaller RFA's.

Don't get me wrong, id love that 1st and I too would be pushing for it but just trying to look at it from all perspectives. I just think CBJ finds a way to keep them all together or trades Laine.
