Loved the Sather reference. The great Oiler teams of the 1980s were constructed when they were a WHA franchise. It would have been impossible to do that in the NHL. Glen eventually worked his way back to New York where he specialized in deals that involved great players who were "past their sell by date" and paid top dollar to play for the NYR. Now Patrick Kane is still putting up great numbers, but I would look toward younger players to improve the team. May take a bit longer to get to the mountain top, but like a fine wine, it will be a wonderful experience.
