Toews Trade: We take Zucker, they get a center with Crosby's respect for a year, who could be middle 6. Maybe he bounces back. Even save $250k in the process. Replaces Malkin (at least in lineup). They weren't willing to pay Malkin long-term so this keeps that flexibility and in this hypothetical, let's say they swing and miss on a couple other possible middle 6 centers.

Kane Trade: At 2022-23 TDL Retain Half on Josh Bailey and trade to a contender for more picks. Islanders have a few Americans he might like to play with in New York, and they are definitely trying to contend. Likely Respects Lamoriello after dealing with Stanbo and now Davidson.

Murphy Trade: Carolina replaces Tony Deangelo with a guy who seems like he'd thrive there, and dump Gardinier.

Buyouts: Bought out Panik and Gardinier to add more cap to the books for 2023-24 to reach minimum without adding good players to keep the tank alive.
