I feel like Muzzin and Murray almost cancel each other out in away. Not sure why Ottawa would add Brown and Brannstrom.

I feel like Giroux is gonna make 9M+ as well.

I’m not a fan of Muzzin tbh.

If Muzzin played on the right side this might make sense.

Muzzin is a bit overvalued here. He is a really solid and reliable defenseman, but injuries have always been an issue. Murray w/ retainment is probably fair. Especially since the Maple Leafs aren't exactly in a place to be taking back much cap in a trade.

If it was one for one with no retention I’d get it. But let’s get real here. Goalies are a crap shoot and if you traded Murray to sign someone else you could land yourself an even worse contract. Meanwhile Zaitsev and Murray only have two years left so at this point ur better off keeping them anyway.

I don’t c why Ottawa has any reason to trade Murray with retention for Muzzin. Chances r he can bounce back with a real team in front of him anyway. He’s not old and his worst case scenario he ends up on LTIR.

Muzzin would be a huge mistake. He's not your grandma's Jake Muzzin anymore. The hard miles have caught up

They have Forsberg and are rumored to be looking to trade him. Do I think they should? Probably not. They have the cap space this season and he may have a bounce back year.

He played well when he was healthy last year. It’s not like Gustavsson was good and Forsberg isn’t a 1A imo. They r better off keeping him.
