I’ll take this over a stupid trade for Kane or Miller that will cost a ton and put us in an awful cap position long term. There’s already enough long term money committed to older guys without extending Kane or Miller. And Drury would be stupid to spend that much on rentals. Regardless of what happens this summer, they’re taking a step back next year. Hopefully they won’t miss the playoffs and at least win a round or 2.

Pass on Rooney, Stepan, and Kinkaid. Rydahl will be our 4th line center, he apparently had a few offers but came here and plays with an edge for 750K that is perfect for the 4th line. Rather see a goalie who can hold down the fort if needed, Kinkaid was a good solider for us, but not sure he is the back-up we want for 82 games, if so Drury would have traded Georgiev at the deadline. I'd love to get White, but he will be a very hot commodity. Rodrigues and White would be my 3C targets if we can't agree to a deal with Copp and trade Nemeth with a pick to free up cap room.
