Jets decline I imagine. Scandella isn’t much cap savings and is a pretty big downgrade play wise. Not worth it.

The point in trading Dillon is to create a spot for Samberg and Heinola, so getting Scandella would be a waste. Take him out and you have a deal.

Need to move the Scandella contract if Dhillon is coming in. Jets get a 2nd and a good prospect. Scandella allows a better opportunity for Heinola and Samberg to beat him out of a spot which is always good for young guys rather than being handed the spot. And if Scandella is serviceable the Jets can flip him next year for another pick.

You can look for a Scandella trade somewhere else. Samberg earned his spot last year, and there would be other guys there to push Heinola.
