Only way I can see Girard being traded for futures is if Byram and Newhook pop off next year and each get $5M+. Then Girard could become a cap casualty. But for 2022, Avs are better off just running it back with Girard in the top 4

IMO it depends on what they do with Manson. Byram proved capable of top-4 in the playoffs, but injury history is always a question. Newhook...guess we'll see? But if they re-sign Manson, then deal Girard for a young forward signed for term.
