Kerfoot is the main piece of this deal, to make room for Bunting's upcoming contract. Robertson just has not lived up to his hype and potential and I don't see him getting many chances in the lineup with the depth the leafs have on forward. I think it's better to give him a fresh start elsewhere and use his high trade value to acquire an already established gritty forward in Bertuzzi.

laugh Kerfoot as the main piece for Bertuzzi isn't happening, Kerfoot holds very little value to us. If Nick Robertson could perform like his brother in Dallas he might hold some value to us as well. But he doesn't so this hold no value to us. Detroit passes by a country mile and it's not even close.

Damn even with the 2nd rounder we're throwing in? And you're seriously undervaluing kerfy right now, he's a great defensive forward who can play on the PK and can put up 40-50 points per year. I think he'd fit in great with raymond or larkin.

At 50% retention, Muzzin's value to LA is future considerations. They're not going to give up a 3rd, 4th, or even 7th for his services.

Add Knies in to that trade and add retention to Muzzin.

And take out the draft picks. LA might consider it then.

I did, the trade was supposed to retain $1,000,000 from his contract but I can't seem to get it to show on the trade.

Great, with the retention. I still don't see Knies, and I still see the picks on the Kings side.

Detroit declines. When you start the sentence with “Kerfoot is the main piece” you limit yourself to only getting Erne or Oesterle. Wings are not interested in Kerfoot or in trading Bertuzzi within the division.
