Don’t worry Wild fans, that is a horrifying offer for Dumba and there’s no chance Minnesota ever calls us again after that

Nope, Detroit isn't doing that. You can have the 4th, but Zadina is going nowhere. We don't even want Kapanen and reports are that Pittsburgh might dump Pettersson, so, one single 3rd round pick at most... For both of them.

Dumba is available, but not for this price. Unless teams low ball for Fiala and BG is looking at Dumba as a cap dump.

for a team with zero cap space you dont have the leverage you think you do. Dumba has been reported to be shopped around by Minny and I think they will be happy to move him to make space for better younger players like Fiala. Perhaps you can change the 4th to a 2nd... at best.

Detroit needs to hit the cap floor, Kappy is a young fast depth player the red wings would be smart to take a flyer on. Petterson is a good player, he is not a cap dump. Him and Marino were playing elite hockey in that series against the rangers. I couldnt remember if it was Zadina or Veleno that detroit was looking to move on from but id be happy with another depth player in return instead. As for picks, i think a depth player for a 2nd pairing D and a top 9 player is pretty one sided so a pick would make it more balanced.

he hasnt hit 30 points in either of the last 3 seasons, i think you might be going based off his one really great season which was like 5 years ago. For a team desperate for cap space and dumba having one year left, minny doesnt have the leverage you think you do

Detroit can hit the cap floor just fine without taking on players that don't help us. Kapanen is redundant and nothing special, we'd take him for free, but we're sure as hell not paying for him. Pettersson is a good fit and is where the 3rd would go for. I don't think he's a cap dump either, but Pittsburgh brass seems to according to recent reports and a 3rd is more than generous due to that. Detroit is not looking to move on from Veleno or Zadina. Zadina has had a slow development, leading to BS speculation, but he has done things the right way and Detroit is not giving up on him. People calling him a bust are just ignorant - The guy had his first 2 seasons during a global pandemic and Blashill HORRIBLY mismanaged him. He still has a very high ceiling, and we are not giving up on him without at least giving him a full season with a new coach, proper usage and consistent line mates to show what he really is.

thats fair about Zadina, as i said a depth player in exchange could be better. Maybe a PKer bottom 6 guy for Kappy who you could sign and see how he does, i think for a detroit team looking to take the next step he would be a good speed addition to your bottom 6 for pretty cheap. Seems like a low risk high reward situation to me. If he stinks, trade him or just let him walk in FA. Zadina I just heard detroit was pretty low on but as you said that is probably just BS. I do believe he has a much higher level to reach yet. The same ppl who say Zadina is a bust are the same on here in the pens fan base saying Petterson is a cap dump, they dont watch hockey 40 games a season let alone know what theyre talking about. Just over reacting to another first round exit cuz they are spoiled and arent used to or know the luck involved with playoff hockey.

Dumba has never been reported to be available this offseason, so you are wrong . It's fiala. Some fans don't like dumba and wants him gone, but doesn't mean Guerin wants to trade him which has been reported. Your crappy offer was never getting dumba if he was available which he's not, because Russo has said as much. So no, Minnesota says no

Wrong again because it's fiala who Guerin wants to move. To think your bad faith proposal would ever gets dumba is funny. He would easily get a 1st even @ deadline. Go for another player then. Yeah a rhd is so bad, yet you want him. Rasmus and worse players with 1 year have gotten more. Again, Guerin doesn't want to trade dumba and it's fiala being traded

If you want Givani Smith, Adam Erne or a prospect like Albin Grewe, one of them could be included for a cost controlled, bottom 6 role. Smith offers the most upside and some snarl.
To Pit:
Smith and a 3rd
To Det:
Kapanen, Pettersson

Something like that I wouldn't be opposed to.
That would work.

lmao okay, keep him then. If you genuinely wanna keep dumba over fiala..... i got no words. Sure the price could be a bit better, a prospect or 2 and a 2nd for dumba is fair to me. If you overvalue him to more than that then you are welcome to keep him. Deadline prices are a lot different than offseason prices..... just thought you should know that if you didnt.

I think Erne would be the pens choice, better fit for the team i think who isnt so much looking for upside as they are for immediate impact. Thats a good deal to me!

Again you fail to notice Guerin doesn't want to move dumba and it's fiala whose being traded to the point fiala trade is close. So again dude, just because you undervalue dumba doesn't mean others do. Minnesota isn't keeping fiala and Guerin loves dumba. Rasmus r with 1 year left, worse d got a top 14 pick on 1at round in offseason m so stop acting like offseason devalue players like dumba. Look elsewhere

Detroit will hit the cap floor by:
Adding free agents for free and keeping picks
Being paid to take on salary via picks and prospects
Trading for legit longterm core assets

They will not trade picks for short term cap that does nothing but add salary

The Pens need a 26 y/o 4m top four dman moreso given the age of their core and lack of prospect depth

Except you know that time he said on his podcast recently that he wouldn't be surprised to see Dumba being moved before the end of his contract, including this offseason. Guerin may not be actively shopping Dumba, but it sounds like Guerin's definitely open to moving him.
