Rebuilding is not in the plans for at least 2 years. His best chance at winning is with his stars that have only 2 years left before they become UFA's. Other than the 2022 NYR 1st are we really losing our future? Gustafsson, Gawanke, and Kovacevic might be lost thru waivers, Vesalainen is done. The majority of the lineup are mostly younger players or players that will be valuable for at least 5 years. If there is a chance to resign some of the players who are on expiring contracts, would it be easier if they are on a winning team?

I get that but I just don't see them making the necessary moves to get to being any kind of winner, there's just too much drama surrounding the organization and holes in the lineup to retool enough in one offseason, best to sell PLD, Scheifele and Bucky now.

I like the looks of this team here but Tanev is a huge fan favorite in Seattle and they aren't taking Wheeler so that one isn't happening and Devils fans here say it sounds like Severson is staying in NJ so Idk how realistic any of this really is.

Trotz is the key factor in all of this. He signs then WPG will get better and changes will happen. IF he doesn't then the rebuild might be on.

What you did here is essentially what Chevy would need to do to get this team to get to even a sniff of being considered anything more than a first round exit, do we REALLY think that with Chevys track record as Jets GM he'd really get this much accomplished in one offseason??
Sorry but I just don't see it, it's time to rebuild and stop delaying the inevitable.

I understand fans frustrations and why they want to tear it down but I don't think we are there yet. We still have important players for 2 years and I hope to see them all in jets uniforms at least for next year with Trotz as coach.

Who would you have leaving for the rebuild? and what do you think the Jets should get back?
