Really, really like this. I think Avs would be a great fit for Varlamov again if Sakic is willing to pay for him. As for Sergachev, I think it costs more and I am not sure if we have the cheap replacement they need. Maybe Mayfield needs to be in that deal.

COL isn’t paying a 1st for a goalie they let walk. If Kuemper is let walk I would fully expect someone like Campbell to take his spot, but there is no way COL sends a 1st in 23 for Varly.

Tampa declines. Neither Clutterbuck nor Holmstrom will be very helpful for where Tampa is positioned. The picks are also too far out from being impactful during the window. If names like Mayfield, Wahlstrom, Bolduc perhaps aren't being involved, no way would the Islanders have close to the best offer for him.
