Yeah Flames don't consider that. Highly doubt Toronto has much interest in Lucic either

Your name is Sandin4Norris and you're trading him for spare parts? lol

That's a horrible trade for the Leafs.

They would certainly consider that trade (even if they do decide to decline), unless they think Wolf is a franchise goalie and if they can sign Mangiapane for cheaper than Nylander at 5+ years. Would be a terrible trade for Toronto since there is no guarantee that Wolf is able to take the reigns now and they are taking on Lucic.

To the OP:
The Leafs have goalie prospects in Dryden McKay (signed by the Marlies), Woll and Kallgren. They just need someone they can really on for the next 3 years or so and Wolf is probably not ready to be a starter now.

Uh no, Calgary certainly does not consider that. Wolf is easily one of the best goalie prospects in the league and wouldn't even be available for a top 6 center like Scheifele. He's far from being a starter but has the best D+3 season since Hellebuyck and Saros
Mangiapane for Nylander is a wash. Despite Nylander having more points they had pretty close to identical 5v5 production and Mange is way better defensively.
Abramov is like a B/C level prospect at this point
Sandin is not a need at all

Agree with everything besides the breadeater vs nylander. Advantage Willy there.

Johnny-lindholm-toffoli
Tkachuk-Backlund-nylander

Would give them a much better one-two punch. Having two guys that can drive olay withoutstanding vision allows them to seperate Tkachuk and Johnny.

Not that I think Calgary takes much time to decline this trade. I'm certain leafs wouldn't offer it anyway.

Sandin is an rfa and even if he was signed his cap hit would be low and trading him won't require a sweetener as Lucic would, so they would get out of that easily (~3m in cap freed if Sandin is signed for 2m-2.4m and not traded again)

Already discussed Nylander vs Mangiapane, it would come down to cap for that decision if both Tkachuk and Gaudreau are signed or to be signed.

As for Wolf, if they consider him a franchise goalie then that would break the deal, otherwise they would still Consider the deal. They could ask for Woll or McKay's rights (since you brought up Hellebuyck) if Wolf just has the potential to be a solid starter vs a franchise goalie in the Flames' eyes

The fact that the deal is horrible for the Leafs is probably enough for them to CONSIDER the deal or a counter, save that Wolf isn't seen as a franchise goalie

Im a bit confused by something here. Hellebuyck is a top 5 goalie in the league. Do you not consider him a franchise goalie because Winnipeg as a whole **** the bed this year?

He's definitely considered a franchise goalie by his team and probably top 5 but Wolf having a similar trajectory doesn't mean that the CGY is 100% sold on him to the point they won't consider trading him. However, his trade value is going to be extremely high if they do really think he can be that guy. He is considered as "undersized" and fell to the Flames because of that which might impact his value.

I'm not going to pretend to know what Treveling is willing or not willing to do which is why I qualified my statement. At the surface level it might provide them with the cap flexibility to sign Gaudreau/Tkachuk or it might be a detriment on the cap front.

I'm just trying to say that it's some iteration of that offer if it were to be made might be considered by the Flames since they already have goaltending for now. He is a highly-ranked goalie prospect so I'm sure they would want a decent goalie prospect back or if they draft another during this draft, Wolf might be given up if they think that trade helps them now. Again, assuming he isn't considered by them a franchise goalie.

As for the Leafs it doesn't help their goalie situation now most likely like the OP suggested the trade would.

The Leafs would be better off trying to trade Nylander for Hellebuyck

Congrats, clown.

You've managed to argue both sides of this, as usual. Pigeon.

Funny, it seems like everyone here is a clown but you. Maybe if you used the comments to see where you went wrong you wouldn't make the same mistakes. I never said you weren't capable of making a well thought out agm. Just that this one isn't.

I don't see how acknowledging some of the benefits of nylander is arguing both sides. Thought I made it pretty clear neither team does this.

That's so cute, plug. You're on here 24/7 to show everyone where they've gone astray! It's a shocker that a pathetic, no-life pigeon hasn't been scooped up by a real team, instead of imparting his laughable drivel on here day after day.
