How much would you say Gibson is worth? On my ducks ACGM I traded him for Mrazek, Robertson, Niemela and two firsts and everyone said it was a huge overpayment.

It is a huge overpayment. Guy has a huge contract and has been bad the last 3 years. Mrazek + Robertson + 1st is fine Ducks fans just overrate the hell out of Gibson because he was amazing like 4 years ago.

"Everyone" probably consisted of people who think they know a little about hockey, but don't. If you take the reporting as true, the fact that actual GMs made calls about Gibson at last season's deadline and are making them now shows you that the price won't be cheap. Your offer seems to me to be in the ballpark of reason. Remember that there's no compelling incentive for Anaheim to trade him unless the Ducks get THEIR price.

I agree, I think what people don’t realize is that if Gibson were on a better team, he’d be considered a top goalie. His numbers have declined recently but part of it is Anaheim’s defense and the fact the team is not where they were five years ago. I watched a couple of ducks games early last season and he definitely still has it in him. I do think they’ll want a big return if they decide to move on from him.
