Are you kidding me? You think he's worth the 13th pick and a 2nd? Colorado has tried trying this guy for the past 2 years. He's always hurt, can't play defense at all and too small at 5'10 170. We need a LD to play with Dobson, that guy needs to be a moblie defensive defenseman. Our pairings are - LD-Pelech, RD-Pulock / LD __________ and RD-Dobson / LD-Salo and RD- Mayfield.
A guy like Nikita Zadorov from Calgary. He's the perfect fit with Dobson on that 2nd pairing. I'm not trading all that trade capital for a guy like Girard

Why would we even trade Girard

So I like Girard, I think he can be a really good defenceman and is a good 2nd pair guy now but the isles just can't afford to trade away their picks cause their position as a good team is in limbo right now espicially after Trotz leaving.

Hurt all the time? How does a guy that is hurt all the time have an 180 game played streak at just 24? Saying he doesn’t play defense is a joke, no he doesn’t bang but he plays positionally great is good with his stick and has very good defensive metrics. He scores 30pts a season not being on PP1, averages 20+ minutes a game, is 24 and locked up for 5 more years. COL hasn’t once tried trade him so you’re just making stuff up there. You don’t like him fine. But don’t pretend he isn’t worth that package rather easily especially considering a pylon like Chiarot as a rental got a 1st a 4th and a prospect.

The funny part is the Coloroda fans defend saying Girard is great....but they you find tons of proposals trying to get rid of him for the past 2 years...yet no team has taken the bait.. Hmmm

The proposals are from non-Avs fans lol. I think the vast majority of the Avs posters on here are more than happy keeping Girard for the rest of his contract.

I think Zadorov is really fun and loved his time on the Avs, but the dude is only a top tier defenseman if you just like watching highlights on Twitter. He gives up a lot of chances against and is lost defending the net front. Those big hits at the blue line are exciting but the dude is not very great.
