Why Puljujarvi over Mitts?

Of course Klefbom is a cap dump. He’s never going to play again. He also serves to drive down the price for Puljujarvi, because Edmonton would probably like to get out from underneath his contract. Mitts could probably use a change of scenery, and Jesse could too. We have a ton of Finns and Swedes he’ll probably get along with, and he is a solid defensive capable forward who can help this team, and they’re both the same age so we’re not losing team control.

So the 2nd and Klefbom should be enough, again why is Mitts included

If Smith decides not to retire, and rather goes on LTIR for his injuries, it doesn't make sense to move Klefbom. If they're moving on from Puljujarvi, it'll likely happen before they know about Smith, so I can't see this being the basis for a deal.

I would think that Puljujarvi has a higher value than Mitts right now, and I don’t think that we can keep him if we’re not going to have him out there.
