Those trades don't really make sense for the other teams. Nurse isn't very good, the first doesn't compensate that. There will be much better offers for Drouin if he's available. The Ovechkin trade doesn't match up either. Bowey > Reinhart, Burakovsky + Wilson = Nuge + Slepyshev, and Ovechkin >>> Puljujarvi

haha one star tho? the point is to send ovi to a team with a chance to win while rebuilding.....ovechkin currently is better but hes also 31......burk and wilson are good but wilson is at best third liner and burk is good but hasnt reach potential nuge will help balance washington by letting kuz play winger.....and bowey has never played an nhl game so idk how you can evaluate him with so much confidence......djoo looked to be better when i watch the hershy team play

nuge had to be part of the trade bc it would be impossible to take ovis entire contract......caps could move nuge to a center hungry team but kuz plays winger then trotz made him a center.......those other pieces dont matter caps need to do a quick rebuild get younger and build a team around samsonov ......also wait 4 years till pens window is shut

Washington doesn't need a center (nuge) at 6 mil, and there's no way they would have kuznetsov on the wing and nuge take his spot. Wilson is a third liner, and so is slepshev (likely). I'd take burakovsky over nuge, since nuge's contract and burakovsky has been very good this series. I agree burakovsky hasn't reached his potential, but he's only 22 so he still has a chance. I'm not sure how good bowey is, but Reinhart has been a complete dud, playing AHL and really only has an upside of a third pair guy.

I understand a lot of people think capitals should rebuild after this, I just don't think a trade with 8 players would be able to work out
