Description
First trade: Using the 2OVR as a base point, how much needs to be added?

Second trade: Hischier for Pastrnak 1 for 1. Who needs to add? (Thinking in this scenario, the Devils could grab a sure thing in Pastrnak, and draft Cooley instead of Slafkovsky as a future 2C. Hischier probably isn't quite as important to the Devils now that Jack Hughes is a surefire star and 1C of the future)

    As a Devils fan, I'd be supremely disappointed if Devils went either of these routes.
    Regardless if Pastrnak extends or not, doing this type of move at this moment would be a big mistake.
    Rather just try and sign Forsberg in FA.

    I think a lot of the discussion around value comes down to whether pasta is open to an extension or not. 2OA for pasta straight up as a rental seems about right. 2OA for pasta with extension isn’t enough.

    Boston looks like they’re headed for a rebuild if bergy retires. Marchand will be out for most of the season, pretty much leaves pasta alone. If I’m the B’s and bergy retires, I’m doing everything in my power to get bedard. So yes it does actually make sense. Thank you for helping me think through that one.

    Well, bedard is a pipe dream. As long as the bruins have mcavoy and lindholm, they’ll be decent, and far too decent to bottom out for a top pick. That’s why i think trading for a 2OA makes sense.
