I'm not talking about you per say. It's each day on CFACGM where Petry Mania runs wild on here. Why is Detroit his only option?

As for Hronek, I don't believe Yzerman is actively shopping him. But like Zadina, I wouldn't be surprised if he's traded at some point. Seider quickly took over the #1 Defenseman role and Hronek seemed lost last season.

He's overrated by some Red Wings fans but he's underrated too. He's somewhat of an enigma. Some games he's very good. Other games he's very bad. But overall he's still a top 4 Defenseman and Yzerman isn't going to just give him away for nothing.

His value is all over the place really. No matter what I say it is 100 people will disagree.

At least this guy didn't get crazy like one I saw with you and a few others that I read this morning lol

I could see Yzerman taking calls on him, like every gm should do about every player in my opinion, but I don't think he's being shopped unless he has other deals in place, like possibly a Petry trade.
I've made deals like Hronek to Dallas to replace Klingberg for Stankoven and a couple of seconds in return and that seemed to be good with most of them. I also added Petry to Detroit but only paid a third and Habs fans weren't to happy but really he's older and has big cap hit. Also Habs are actually in a difficult cap situation right now although some fans seem to not realize it.

Yep. Habs are in an interesting limbo right now with the uncertainty of Price returning. Losing that 10 mil means a whole lot to management. If Price remains in the lineup you can bet barely any moves are made in FA or in the offseason in general IMO

Habs definitely are in an interesting position. It really will come down to whether or not Price retires this offseason. 10 mil off the books before the FA period will make the world's difference. The continuation of that uncertainty will prevent Hughes from really making any large moves this offseason though. Hopefully we get answers soon! (my previous comment did not load so I basically retyped lol my b)

Interesting. Been seeing a lot of trades made on here to basically get rid of Hronek from Detroit fans. Mind explaining to me the general opinion on him from Detroit fans perspective at the moment?

Sorry, ut I have not seen alot of Hronek trades. Y Wings fans, ut slot by other teams posters. If Hronek is dealt it will not be a lateral move for an older more expensive player. It will be in a package for center.

Ill say it again I like petry and if he had 1 or even 2 years left I'd do a deal but 3 for that cap at his age is a lot. He looked good at the end of the season why even move him?

He did look good at the end of the season because he he took the first half off.

Its the only reason he's being moved in the offseason! Otherwise, the Habs wait it out and get a bounty at the TDL where teams know their standing and can go ALL IN

If Letang and Klingerg dont resign with their respective teams. I see Dumba and Petry moving as they are two of the few options at RHD in the trade market. Hronek is not on either level for a contender.

You can get Roy for a third with an offer sheet, no need to offer Evans unless it's 1 for 1. Vegas has no leverage here without dumping Marchy or Lehner. They cant match. At most you offer a late 2nd.

Exactly, if it were up to the Canadiens they would just keep him because he's still a good player (excluding Ducharme stats, because no one played well under him)
