As for Hronek, I don't believe Yzerman is actively shopping him. But like Zadina, I wouldn't be surprised if he's traded at some point. Seider quickly took over the #1 Defenseman role and Hronek seemed lost last season.

He's overrated by some Red Wings fans but he's underrated too. He's somewhat of an enigma. Some games he's very good. Other games he's very bad. But overall he's still a top 4 Defenseman and Yzerman isn't going to just give him away for nothing.

His value is all over the place really. No matter what I say it is 100 people will disagree.

I've made deals like Hronek to Dallas to replace Klingberg for Stankoven and a couple of seconds in return and that seemed to be good with most of them. I also added Petry to Detroit but only paid a third and Habs fans weren't to happy but really he's older and has big cap hit. Also Habs are actually in a difficult cap situation right now although some fans seem to not realize it.

Habs definitely are in an interesting position. It really will come down to whether or not Price retires this offseason. 10 mil off the books before the FA period will make the world's difference. The continuation of that uncertainty will prevent Hughes from really making any large moves this offseason though. Hopefully we get answers soon! (my previous comment did not load so I basically retyped lol my b)

Interesting. Been seeing a lot of trades made on here to basically get rid of Hronek from Detroit fans. Mind explaining to me the general opinion on him from Detroit fans perspective at the moment?

If Letang and Klingerg dont resign with their respective teams. I see Dumba and Petry moving as they are two of the few options at RHD in the trade market.
