I believe Capuano had influence on the Hamonic trade, I'm sure hell put in a good word for Bailey!

Hopefully! Bailey isn’t a negative asset and seems to fit what Ottawa is looking for. Hopefully something like this happens

Bailey isn’t a good player anymore , but it’s definitely possible he some decent market value. I think it’s possible they can get a 4th or 5th rd pick.

I doubt a young upcoming team would see Bailey as an option in top-6 in a few years. Probably better luck trading Beauvillier there.

to answer your question about Branny, he's in a really weird position. He's been playing good NHL minutes for a while, especially at the end of the season as Chabot was injured. He played well down that stretch and does what's advertised, he's a puck mover who gets the play out of his own end and has a strong first pass, and while he's not a defensive mastermind by any means, he does decently despite his small size. The issue with Ottawa is that he's going to get immediately leapfrogged on the LD chart by Sanderson, and his skillset doesn't lend itself well to the third pairing. Plus, despite playing well, he hasn't been putting up the points, and that's what a lot of people look at when they see a guy advertised as an offensive defenceman. He's a good player who could still develop well and play well on a 2nd pairing and PP2 QB, but he's probably on his way out and the Sens don't have much leverage.

Gotcha, makes sense. Do you think this could be something Ottawa is interested in? I know they want some veterans to lead a young core.

I don't think it's unreasonable and it seems like a pretty Pierre Dorion thing to do. Bailey's contract shouldn't be an issue since it'll be up by the time the Sens are getting into more of a cap crunch, but I think it only makes sense of Connor Brown gets moved in the offseason, or some other spot otherwise opens up on the 3rd line. Dorion has said he's specifically looking for a young, bonafide top 6 winger with team control, which Bailey doesn't fit anymore, and 2/3 of the 3rd line is pretty locked in between Formenton, Pinto and Connor Brown. Dorion likes Branny but isn't dumb enough to not know the deal with him, I could see something like this happening for sure. I think most Sens fans would rather just see them either hold onto Branny or add him as a sweetener in a package for a bigger fish, but this is pretty reasonable and realistic.
