This is a good team - but Yamo and PoolParty aren't signing for less than 3, IMO. and this team needs a goalie. Smith has been decent thus far but they need someone more dependable. Keith needs to retire and they can sink that money into Campbell and flip Foegle and sign a cheap bottom pairing LD.

Even though I don’t want this to happen, I feel like Holland will trade Puljujarvi and sign Kane. I don’t mind bringing Kane back, but I don’t want to trade Puljujarvi. I hope I’m wrong, but I just have a feeling he will do that. Smith can still retire, and he may. A younger goalie being the starter would be very good, and I would hate for Smith to get hurt again half way through the season. Campbell I don’t trust to play well come playoff time, even though he played well last season in the playoffs for Toronto. I would rather go after someone else honestly. I also see Toronto trying their hardest do give him an extension. We don’t need a third pair LHD, as one of Kulak, Keith, Broberg, or Niemalinen will be playing there.

The Yam & JP extensions are based on Jordan Kyrou's extension in STL. On a 1 year deal the AAV could be lower but anything 3 years and up the AAV climbs as they will be eating up UFA years.

Smith has a contract and Holland isn't going to trade him, he forfiets his money if he retires so I doubt that happens also.

Same thing for Keith, I highly doubt he retires and Holland doesn't have the stones to trade him (as you'd be attaching assets in order to move him)

I do not believe those two things are mutually exclusive, EDM can resign both Kane & JP.

What are you referring to with the 3rd pair LHD? Do you not think Kulak will be resigned?

They may, but I am afraid Puljujarvi may get moved. I hope not, but I am afraid he may be. Also for the LHD, the comment said “sign a third pairing LD”, so I was listing some saying we don’t need to get one as we have Keith, Broberg, Niemalinen, and Kulak assuming he gets resigned. I don’t know if Holland resigns Kulak… I guess it all depends on if Broberg can take his place. I hope we will sign him though.
