I believe the Vegas trade would be a win-win, Martinez is very good and theodore and pietrangelo are much better defenders playing with him vs without. Vegas needs to save some money and bryson will be financially more reasonable and still good enough.

Helge Grans for Ryan Johnson makes sense for both teams. Matt Roy for Johnson plus two future seconds makes absolutely no sense for Los Angeles.

Kuemper was traded for a 1st, 2nd and good D prospect, that package would be equivalent to a good 2 LD.

Adin Hill was traded for a 2nd, a pick that the Isles could use for a 2 LD.

It all depends on the teams that are trading. Are the Devils looking to add a Veteran goalie to support or replace Blackwood and willing to move Graves since they have good young LD's ready to play. The Blackhawks are looking for a goalie and have good LD as well, would they be open to moving McCabe for Varly.

I think we're good trading partners with Chicago. I wonder if they'd do Kubalik and McCabe for Varlamov and Bellows. Or something like that.
