Burakovsky scored 13 goals, why would you lock up $22.5M in a guy who isn't even proven yet? Holtby Kuznetsov deal is not good for Caps. Unless Laine is involved Caps would not trade those pieces.

As a leaf fan, no thanks to Niskanen or orpik. That's 11+ mil in salary that the leafs are taking on. For 2 players on the wrong side of 30.

AS a Leafs fan, I would take Niskanen.... need a veteran presence back there that can play top 4. But Orpik at this stage..... no no no. Too slow for the Leafs game imo.

niskanen would be a great rhd to plat with riley also could be arguably your best player on d.....orpik is the cost to get him also orpik is a steady d mn top 5 in +/- who would be great to pair with a young guy.....also his contract is up when matthews and others would need a raise

caps trade holtby and kuznetov bc the get two good young players and samsonov is free and ready the year after......im not making the trade to immediately become better this is a rebuild

Burakovsky is a great player just needs to play in a top 6 role kid has skill just plays with eller and connolly if he was paired with back or kuz he would easily put up 25 goals

Yea Orpik has looked great against ANYBODY with average speed. "Steady" defenseman yet majority of capitals fans want him BENCHED

defensively caps are great....he would be a top 5 on the leafs
