Description

This one takes place in a world where malkin, rust, Letang, ETC all take off in FA, let's be real the pens are done if that happens so they're rebuilding. A lot of the players are in or approaching their prime, so a quick rebuild is a good one here, hence the emphasis of prospects in trades over picks.

Chipman likes Wheeler more than he likes winning. I doubt he gives Cheveldayoff the ok to make that trade.

If you really want to trade Guentzel for a 2022 1st round pick only---call Yzerman. He might even throw in Zadina as Detroit has too many wingers (Raymond, Vrana, Bertuzzi, Fabbri, Rasmussen, Zadina, and 2018 #33 overall Jonatan Berggren--who complete his North American year in the AHL).

you move back from the #6 pick to #8 but you'd pick up Zadina.
