Keep Provorov drop Husso, Fletcher seems to want Fedotov as the backup next season

I like that idea, i’m just not sure if Fedotov will come over to play.

Feel like Husso is going to get someone to give him starter money, much more than $2.5M.

I'd go in with Sandstorm or if you want a guy with a little more experience, target someone like Scott Wedgewood or Eric Comrie in UFA - I think both those guys put up good numbers on bad defensive teams and would be sign-able for under $2M.

That gives you the ability to keep Provorov - I think you can then run out Provorov-Ellis/Sanheim-Risto/York-Rutta as your D pairs and that can be a solid group.

Yeah Husso is definitely good enough to make more. I was hoping that since he is on a small contract, it might be enough to bring him in. Plus he would probably split a lot of time with Hart. Your back up ideas are solid if Fedotov doesn’t make the move.

I like the flexibility that York and Rutta give as they can play Right or Left D and if Ellis stays healthy for at least 50% of the season he will help make the entire D better and possibly even be a trade piece at playoff time next year if he doesn’t want to stay.
