Trade one everyone declines, but the Rangers more vehemently. Rangers aren't trading Schneider, let alone for a winger whose primary skill is setting up. And the Jackets aren't retaining to send him to a division rival.
Trade two, probably both decline. LA probably isn't the best fit for Jenner nor are they moving a first at this point in their rebuild, playoffs this year or not, and the Jackets are very certainly not trading their captain and the heart of the locker room. Larsen literally cried about him in his exit interview this season. Jenner isn't going anywhere.
Trade three, easy decline for Vancouver. There is certainly a team out there who'd part with a first for Gus, but it is not Vancouver. At least right now. Maaaaybe at the deadline next year if the Jackets are out of it and the Canucks are in it and desperate for a veteran winger?
Trade four, hard no from both but especially the Jackets. The Oilers can't afford to pay Laine, and he'd be miserable in Edmonton with that degree of media scrutiny. If nothing else, if Jarmo can't sign him, I trust he'd trade him somewhere that also works for Laine.
