real quick question: where is Lundkvist playing if your RD depth chart is locked in to Fox/Trouba/Schneider through at least 2024?

Possibly on the left side or on the right side with Schneider on his left side. Or, if Drury decides to trade him, he would do so for a player the Rangers would have for MORE THAN 1 YEAR. That is my problem with this JT Miller Trade. 1 Year of JT isn't worth this much. Another team that can sign him long term would give up more for him.

Your counter offer just shows how immature and whiny you are.

Lol what? If you’ve seen this guy, you’ll know he whines on just about every post including this one. I don’t see how calling him out is immature…

On the left side where he played some time in the SHL.. pretty simple fix.

You're 100% wrong. 1 year of JT Miller isn;t worth giving up Kakko and Lundqvist. Only a short sighted fool would make that trade. If JT is so good....SIGN HIM.

Lol we'll be happy to. He easily is this though. This was just the other end of the scope, ideas where he is traded.

Why can't the Rangers sign him long term? They'll have nearly $23M in cap space available for 2023-24, when Miller will be a UFA, and most of their core is locked up. The only big RFA raises you'd be looking at are for Laf and K'Andre Miller (I don't see Filip Chytil doing enough to earn a huge raise over his current $2.3M).

Even if you only stick with him for the one season, Miller is a huge upgrade over Ryan Strome and makes the Rangers a much better offensive team (something to think about when you realize that the Rangers are the lowest-scoring team among the Eastern Conference's playoff squads).

You are completely wrong about the Rangers cap situation, and I'm not going to explain it to you because its elementary school math. Rangers could only afford Miller for next season, IF, they don't want to sign Strome or Copp, and then JT is off to whomever can afford to pay him the next season. That is not worth a 21 year old Kakko and 20 year or Lundqvist and a 1st round pick PLUS not signing Strome or Copp to a long term deal. It is VERY SHORT SIGHTED and FOOLISH. But hey, you like him so much, maybe the Isles should give up two good young prospects and a 1st round pick for him? Trade Wahlstrom, Bolduc and a 1st round pick, and the great JT is a fishstick just like that. That sounds like a plan to me.

JT Miller is better than Strome or Copp every night of the week and is worth giving up a late 1st, a guy you've already said in this thread would be "best" used by playing him on his offhand on the 3rd pair, and a forward that seems to need a change of scenery (unless you think 26 goals in 3 seasons from your 2nd overall pick is good production.) You're literally trading pieces from your positions of strength to get a guy who's scored nearly 100 points this season. And again, when you have a guy with that kind of production, you find a way to get him in the cap. If Vancouver would entertain a package of Wahlstrom/Bolduc/2023 1st, I would definitely want the Islanders to take it - Miller can play all 3 forward spots, is good on faceoffs, plays a ton on both the PP & PK, and winds up playing 21 minutes a night. Dude is one of the most underrated forwards in the league and, if Vancouver is looking to trade him, any contender should be seeing what they have to give up to add him to their lineup.

If you bothered to pay attention to any teams on these boards besides the Rangers, you'd realize that that proposal has already been shot down by most Vancouver fans. Wahlstrom and Kakko are generally regarded as similar high-upside prospects who haven't made the leap yet, but Bolduc is seen as much more of a question mark than Lundvkist (and also plays the left side, when Vancouver has a much stronger need for young RHD.)

Then throw in Dobson. Surely JT is worth including him.

Guess JT isn't that good if you don't want to add Dobson. But if you try harder, you will be relevant.
