Habs can get more for Petry and Allen. I wouldn't move Allen at all given Price's current state and Primeau is nowhere near ready to handle that load.

It's just counterproductive imo and it ruins the team's momentum even in a rebuild. I bet New Jersey would have liked half-decent goaltending this season even in a lost season.

If the Sabres had decent goaltending this season they would be knocking on the door for a playoff spot. Their problem is Anderson missed three months, and even Tokarski missed two months. They had AHL backup caliber goaltenders play about 17 games for them this season, and I think they won three of those games. You can argue that both Anderson and Tokarski are really NHL back up caliber goaltenders themselves, but even decent goaltending in those games would have seen Buffalo win or get pts in probably seven more games than they did.
