Description
If MTL pick is 2nd overall. What would MTL have to add to make it work? Just trying to figure out value. I know both are probably not available.

Rangers are not trading Laffy to anyone, so get over it Habs fans.

We are well over it. You can keep your maybe 20 goal scorer if everything goes well with skating issues

Leafs fans were happy bringing Tavares home. Sabres fans are happy with homeboy Tuch. Coyotes fans dream of Matthews.

What is the Dubois hype? He wouldn't even be a first liner at MTL he'd be our second line center. Why trade a 2nd overall (which will be a center) for a player worst than Suzuki?

this draft is pretty weak. Cooley is the #2 overall pick who isn't a top 5 pick 8 out of the last 10 drafts.

    Oh wow..

    1. You can’t afford PLD. Suzuki is getting a large raise and Price is likely coming back. It’s not as simple as just moving one of the other contracts.

    2. You need 3 years of this years pick in ELC where Laf is getting money next season which you again can’t afford.

Neither player is actually attainable financially. Your organization needs to draft and develop while letting the contracts within finish or move later(not 6 years of Gally or Josh).

I wouldn't one for one. And i think Suzuki and Dubois have about the same value. That's why i asked what MTL would have to add.

Winnipeg have so many centers, they could draft Nemec or Slafkovsky with the 2nd overall. And whatever MTL have to add. And they'd have Dubois money to bring another UFA.

Jets dont really have many centres. And the one they might get rid of is Scheifele.

    Boom!

The Habs window needs to have players grow together like every dynasty. Some players will hold different value based on teams competitive windows. Exactly why players like Hagel hold so much more value to Tampa than say the RANGERS

    Quoting: OlegP
Their defence structure is so much like the Canucks. Just a mess. They need another 3 years to have Harris-Norlinder-Barron-Guhle-Mailloux-Romanov develop together and let some of these awful deals run out like Savard, Armia, Hoffman

    Quoting: OlegP
Its the media not the fans. They keep pushing guys like LeTang and Lafreniere in our face so we kind of go with it but few actually want those players with the asking price going the other way. Whether it's assets for Laffy or an enormous overpayment for Tanger

Everything you said is dead on!

Trading Petry this summer will give Mtl the cap space.

You said you would have room when you trade Petry this summer… who the F wants him?! I simply told you that you won’t be able to move these guys with bad contracts and you in “delusional” manner responded with we will just move a bad contract.. 😂😂 delusions

If you don’t want people poking at the holes in your theory then don’t share your wild ideas on here

You really dont understand context. To completely ignore 1 and change years of development and a player that was playing no minutes under Doucharme.

You are picking your own narrative. Simply impossible to convince someone with blinders on like you.

Caufield is the best rookie since January! Laf has never had any kind of goal scoring streak. He's a middling player.

Hahaha he is but who needs to add one and has cap space? And does he fit a teams window of competition. Signing Chiarot or another guy on the off-season is easier. But we will see. I personally don’t see a lot of teams being in on Petry

Its the offseason. Teams trade for Duncan keith's cap hit which is the same as Petry. Petry is actually a good player unlike Keith. If you think out of every single team in the NHL that one team wont overpay then youve been asleep every offseason
