That's huge overpayment for Bertuzzi. IF everyone pans out that 3 good second liners and a 1st round pick for a not even PPG player.
The Chychurun Trade is another overpayment IMO his stat isn't much better than Provys to justify that package and only a year younger on almost equally bad teams,
I also think trocheck gets more than that.

I don’t think there’s any chance he retires. Retiring includes forfeiting the contract. Maybe there’s like a 2% chance he LTIR retires. I don’t think its likely enough to even merit a discussion.

Massive overpay for Bertuzzi. Brink is a very promising prospect, Frist has potential and a first plus one of our better young players for a slight improvement

Yes in the sense of we don't have ahlers playing on our 3rd pair. I think the success of this team will be Short-Lived We cant replace Ellis next year if he's gone. Klingberg has good offensive upside but we need someone who is defensively responsible on the 1st pair. Personally, I think if Ellis is gone you have to just rebuild as bad as that sounds because we have never done it correctly.

Yeah but is this team a contender, no. A larger amount of assets were given up to be better sure, but not by much. It is better to either go for a big fish in free agency and retool or wait out a rebuild. Not make marginal improvements and just be mid like we were 5 years ago

This team isn't a contender? We added Johnny Gaudreau, Tyler Bertuzzi, Vinny Trocheck, on top of Farabee, TK, Coots, Cam, Hayes, while also adding Klingberg Manson and Chychryn on the back end, and only losing Provorov. How are those marginal improvements? Those are huge changes.

Sorry didn’t see the free agency adds. Yeah I wouldn’t hate it if we landed all those players but still I would not trade Brink. He has looked alright and has potential
