Highly unlikely, but the Jets would then qualify him and trade him for the best package or player available that helps the team.

Sean Reynolds (Sportsnet) spoke with MTL media when the Habs were in town and Reynolds basically said that the MTL press said Dubois would be crazy if he didn't sign in Winnipeg. Dubois gets to be a 1C with a 40+ goal scorer on his wing (Connor is on pace for 51 goals) and potentially Ehlers/Perfetti on his other wing in the future. Also, his folks live in Winnipeg so that adds a bit to the conversation too.
