So you trade for Wood and then don't sign him. But of course Jersey doesn't do that trade anyway.

You're either going to have to buy Mrazek out, or see if Arizona takes him along with a sweetener like a prospect or a pick.

I was trying to find a team I thought would like to add an energy top 9 winger and not just have it as a pure salary dump.

It’s not that he’s a bad player, he’s not
But at the time, it isn’t a great fit
We have a lot of young talent in our lineup right now, and more coming next year (Quinn & Peterka)
So unless we move someone out, we don’t really have room for him

And it’s probably a bit premature to be sending 2nd round picks for players
We’re still in rebuild mode here
And with Kerfoot in particular….
He only has 1 year left on his contract. I wouldn’t think he’s likely to re-sign with us, and it doesn’t make much sense to trade for him only to turn around & ship him out at the deadline
