Does CGY even want to get rid of Monahan at the deadline? In my mind it makes more sense to keep him for the playoff run.

Doesnt really matter, he still takes up needed cap space. He can't play center so here's at best on the 3rd line and Pelletier should be there over him

You don't get it. Calgary needs ALL of Monahan's cap gone. Not 1.5M of it, not 3.5 M of it. All of it. Wasting it on an expensive depth winger is not the play

He’s worth $4M. I’m never going to complain about a 20 goal guy getting 5% of the cap. That said, i don’t think he plays a game for the bruins under that contract.
