Description
All for next year. Just some ideas.
Transactions
1.
NYI
  1. Lindholm, Hampus
Détails additionnels:
Free Agency/Late Round Pick at Draft to get his rights
ANA
2.
BUF
cant happen but he and Wahly are besties so it would be sick for their bromance to become a reality. Maybe in a few years
    3.
    DET
I think he will be moved this offseason. Price is low and hes young. I think his game could flourish if we move Bailey and he fills in for the middle 6 with a defensive focus. and again, he will be really cheap
      4.
      VAN
I think that he would fill in really really really well with Nelson and Beau.
        5.
        VAN
I mean him with Barzal.... nasty. We could easily move a ton of assets for him. His value seems to be very low right now though. So I could see a move with our 1st (pick around 8-10?), 2023 top 16 protected 1st, Bailey and Aho? Maybe a bit more? lmk below
          6.
          VGK
wont be able to re-sign this offseason (most likely). Lou would never offersheet but I mean a 3 year 4 mil deal where we give up only a 2nd would be great.
            7.
            WPG
Never gonna happen but if they do decide to retool and he somehow is one of the odd men out, we could explore this . Price would be very very very high but a deal with Raty, 1st and some other assets could work everything out well
              8.
              NYR
Obviously we will never trade with the rangers but he is someone I would want. Price has never been lower and he could be insane if given a real opportunity

Given that Dobson is untouchable, Vancouver would want your unprotected 2022 first, and Raty. If you wanna dump Bailey, might cost you another piece

Zadina is unlikely to be moved unless the offer is an obvious win for Detroit.

I've seen proposals here of Nils Höglander for Zadina straight up and it would have to be an offer of that calibre for Yzerman to bite.

Well, there's no reason for Detroit to trade him.

As you say,his price is low now and you don't sell low if you can avoid it. Zadina has been playing really well in every measure except scoring and he's mostly been playing with "less than stellar" linemates. There's room for him on the roster and he's cheap and cost controlled and young and there simply isn't any reason to give up on him so soon.

Honestly having watching plenty of Zadina this season, I'm not even sure Yzerman would bite on that. Zadina has been playing well this year, and just somehow the puck has not been going into the net for him or his linemates this year. Needs are Left D and Centre, I dont see a trade where Detroit moves Zadina not returning one of those two, as our wing prospects are pretty good currently.

Look, Yzerman is quite smart and I do not think he would sell low and given the fact that he was able to hit on so many players like Point, Kuch, Cirelli, Czernak, Seider, etc, I don't think he will move someone like Zadina. That said, if he were to be moved I would want him. I think that a player like Brannstrom for Zadina with some other pick swaps in there is far more likely.

Boeser's value is not even close to that. He's worth what Reinhart got last season. Late 1st and a B prospect

The only one I don't want to see on the isles is Lindholm. He's been a mediocre 2nd pair D this season and he turns 29 soon.

Boeser isn't worth our 2022 1st alone (assuming its' 8-12 range). He's nothing special and he's going to want 7 mill.

Wings aren't giving Zadina away. More likely he won't be moved. Despite what some fans will tell you he's actually been pretty good, especially of late

Like everyone has said, there's no roster crunch on the wings so its probably in the teams better interest to just let zadina ride out another year and see what ya have.

Zadina is unlikely to be moved unless the offer is an obvious win for Detroit.

I've seen proposals here of Nils Höglander for Zadina straight up and it would have to be an offer of that calibre for Yzerman to bite.

                And Brannstrom.

He's only 2 points behind Wahlstrom. Zadina was drafted 6th overall and Wahlstrom 11th overall in the same draft. So does that mean Wahlstrom will be traded cheap as well?

The only one I don't want to see on the isles is Lindholm. He's been a mediocre 2nd pair D this season and he turns 29 soon.

Boeser isn't worth our 2022 1st alone (assuming its' 8-12 range). He's nothing special and he's going to want 7 mill.

No reason for us to move him unless it's for a you g RHD and since Dobson is off the table that's the only thing of value to us

The most id give up for boeser is a 2023 1st. He’s not worth a top 10 pick.

LMFAOOOO. Zadina plays more than 5 more minutes a night and has played like 8 more games. he has played like 40 more career games. Islanders need wingers with elite talent. Wings need defenseman. There quite literally is no need for Zadina when the wings have a desperate need for LD

                Points per 60 min
                Wahlstrom: 2.01
                Zadina: 1.41

Wahlstrom has a 52% expected goals %, Zadina 46.26%. Wahlstrom is currently a much better player in every aspect of the game

that's what he's worth though. A mediocre top 6 winger with a 7.5 mill qualifying offer isn't going to return a top prospect or top 10 pick. There's a reason Rutherford wants to trade him.

So there is about like 3 issues with this Comment Boeser isn't mediocre, He has been a .65ppg this year he is on pace for 26 goals this year which he is having a down season this year, he has been fighting an injury this year so he isn't 100% but he is still almost a 30 goal guy, 7.5 might be a little high but doesn't mean he won't sign for less in Van which he is been rumored to do, we aren't looking for a top 10 pick, we are looking for a young top 4 RHD, which since the Islanders don't have up for trade the only thing of value from you guys is this years 1sts, thirdly JR isn't our gm nor is the team shopping him

Your perception of Detroit's needs is very flawed. Detroit have a huge prospect pool on LD, it is in fact the position of them all where Detroit is best covered.

Detroit have Edvinsson who projects to be of Seider-like quality, Johansson who could become better than Hronek, Wallinder who is looking to be even better than Johansson, Viro, Sebrango, McIsaac who all are looking to be capable roster players in a few years.

Detroit needs two veteran LD on short contracts to tie them over until the kids are ready. It is the very fact that we have such an abundance of good prospects that is the reason that our left side defense is so bad right now, there hasn't been any reason to make big moves in that position because all that is needed is being cool and wait for it to fix itself.

The kind of help Detroit needs on LD can easily be found in the offseason. PIT is in cap trouble and needs to dump either Pettersson or Matheson cheap, WPG wants to get rid of Schmidt and there are a few more. In addition to trades there are about five FA's to be had that fit the bill.

Trading away a good prospect to fix a problem that doesn't need fixing isn't a winning strategy.

LMFAOOOO Zadina aint a prospect anymore first of all. Matheson and Pettersson arent going for nothing. this aint NHL franchise mode lol. And you have 2 defenseman. Seider and Edivinsson. And I am by no means calling Edvinsson a bust and he will not be, but he isnt a #1 guy. He is more likely a low level 2 or really great 3. Hronek is fine. Thats truly it. There is a need for depth and a #4. Zadina is not needed. And he is way worse than wahlstrom lmfao

                1. Nobody has claimed that Petterson or Matheson would go for nothing. I said they would go cheap. Learn how to read!
                2. PIT is in cap troublevand have no option but to dump one of them below market value.
                3. It's obvious that you don't have a clue about the quality of Detroit's prospect pipeline. How many hundreds of games of Johansson and Edvinsson have you watched? I live less than 200 meters from the practice arena of one of them and I seen them both almost a thousand times from about when they were 12 years old.
                4. Zadina is 22 years old and still waivers exempt and hasn't played a full season in the NHL yet. That is the very defintion of a prospect.

PS. Learn how to communicate in a civil manner, right now you're coming off as a big arsehole.

they arent going for cheap lmfaoooooo

penguins do not have to dump either of them. they arent in cap hell lol

ok you saw them when they were 12? congrats i guess?

a prospect is someone who has not played any NHL / very little. A prospect is someone who is not an NHLer full time. He is. And getting scratched if you arent playing well does not count.

The wings have no defensive prospect depth. literally lmao

You might want to check your math Zadina has 1:25 more minutes a game and he has played 7 more games. According to your roster there are 11 out of 14 players that can play wing on the Islanders and 6 of them have more points than Zadina.

Now I have to ask are you really LMFAOOOO because it would be the only thing you got correct in this post.
