meh, there's no need for Van to move Garland right now and I don't think they want kapanen, even with the draft picks. If Marino isn't involved than maybe a 1st and a 3rd get it done with an expiring contract to make the dollars work but yeah I don't see it.

What also needs to be kept in mind is that Rutherford gave up a first for kapanen. Albeit it was a few years ago, but both him and Allvin like kapanen a fair amount
