Would be nice, unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon (definitely not before his contract is up). If we could trade him, I'd be on board with that option (even if we had to eat a mil or two of salary).

Also, I would not even consider giving Copp as much as 6 million and I can't see Forsberg considering signing with us. RFA contracts are good though.

No I don’t. Just venting. The next two years of his contract will prevent the team from being better than average and miss out on some of the best years of the core.

Why not just keep him if your going to give copp 36 million, or even that foresburg contract, window is short and I’m hoping just blast away, and ottawa it in two years or less.

His buyout is bad this summer, if they wait till he only has one year left its palatable, not that I think they'd buy him out though.

Oh I think he's here till the last year of his contract, poster was suggesting he takes a front office job with the Jets to which I say please gawd no!!!.. lol

Fair enough, this team is just plain frustrating, I miss buffy and some of the past days, always seemed like a better effort and more of a physical engagement.

Yeah there's lots I miss about this team from past years and soooo many of the guys I enjoyed watching are gone and some boring dead weight are still wearing Jets jerseys.. 👎..honestly outside of a Ehlers, Connor and a few others there isn't much worth watching on this team.

Really gotta wonder what went down in 18-19, they imploded that season and its just been one fire after another ever since.
