Is this a fair trade for San Jose? Rumors speculated San Jose was looking for either a center or defenseman for Hertl, and with Barabanov who is arguably one of the best cost per point wingers in the NHL, why not get both AND jump start the rebuild with a 1st which will be a guaranteed 25-32 pick, could find a gem.

If you’re Colorado, congrats on the cup, you have one of the greatest 1st lines in the league AND KADRI, BURAKOVSKY, & HERTL waiting to ruin every time.

Cmon. Rentals just don’t get that kind of return.

Ya ya ya, comes with an extension, blah blah blah. First, incredibly rare. But it really doesn’t effect value that much. Look at stone, a much better player than hertl. Good prospect and a 2nd, and came with an extension.
