That was a bad pick at 6. They just drafted the safest player available. He doesn't provide that much offence. Good players, but the other 2 would provide much more offense if put in the correct opportunity. Plus they have been looking for a fellow Russian to play with Geno for a long time. It could be a good match.
Olfosson is the smallest, isn’t physical at all and isn’t a good two-way player. I would rather Kappy.
Zacha, 6’3, 210 and has 59 “hits” in 50 games this season and had 43 “hits” in 49 games last season. Good- two way player and way more versatile than all 3 other players. He can play Center.
Olofsson is 5’10, 182 and has just 4 “hits” this season in 44 games. Just 33 “hits” in his career 160 games.
Denis Gurianov is 6’3, 195. Has 46 “hits” in 46 games this season and had 63 “hits” in 55 games last season.
Kappy is 6’1, 195. Has 72 “hits” in 54 games this season and 41 “hits” in 40 games last season.
All have had similar #’s offensively. All have underperformed as far expectation offensively.
Olofsson doenst touch anyone on the ice. And the a weak 200 foot player.. No thanks. And he’s definitely not a Hextall/Burke type of player.
I’d take Zacha, D.Gurianov, Kappy, Olofsson in that order. And all 3 also have 1st round pedigree. Olofsson was a 6th round pick. 1st round pedigree still has value in a trade; especially for a young player, 25 or under, and on his 1st team still. Like Zacha and D.Gurianov.
