A lot of MIN fans think Russo is the end all and be all, so here's the deal to fix your face off dot problem.

Giroux is the best of what's available at over 60%
you're not giving up a "top" prospect, so you give up 2 good ones.
The prospects and the first are for Giroux
the 3rd is for retention and taking Rask to make the cap work

make the 2023 pick a 1st rounder and Fletcher wlll talk.
Beckman is 3 years in and hasn't shown anything yet (not that he won't; but for expedience sake, not now)
Hunt is interesting. Again though, the bidding war on Giroux will be high. this offer won't even come close to what some others will surely give.

I can't say I agree with you on the return, but curious who do you think is going to pay more for Giroux and what do you think the package looks like. (This would be without adding other pieces from Philly into the deal)

A #1 PICK, TOP PROSPECT (more than likely a RH DMAN) and maybe another player will be the return for Giroux alone. If you add Braun or Risto the price goes higher.

Don't know who's gonna pay but at deadline the bargain war will probably be 1 or 2 first round pick with top prospects and if flyer retain salary could felch maybe. 3 or 2 round pick

Haha. Nobody is paying two 1st round picks, with tip prospects, or 1st round pick with top prospect. A rental isn't getting much

Nobody especially Minnesota is giving up a 1st round pick or in the future 1st round pick. Our gm doesn't operate like that. No gm will give up 1st round pick in 2023.

Minnesota has zero need for risto who sucks! Justin Braun would be a 7th or 8th d. Giroux is a rental, not eichel

Looks kinda similar to the proposal I made a while back. I was originally against the idea of Braun and Giroux as a package deal, but it would actually make more sense looking at it now. Minny could use a right-shot defensive minded veteran Dman along side of either Kulikov or Benn.
