How has Lucas Johansen been this year? Since he no longer has waiver-exemption, I don't think Devils would ask for him over other def prospects in caps system.

That’s fair. The 2 extra years doesn’t necessarily mean a good thing. Depends on his play.

Tbh he looked really good in the one game he played. I wish they played him over Kempny

He has to pass through waivers to go back down...which could be an issue for a bunch of teams with veteran defense.

meh I have no worry with Garland living up to his contract. He's also young enough where you don't have to worry about him declining

Makes sense just ignore this trade then lol. Imo I think Mantha is the better player but he’s more expensive and less durable ( which is ***** crazy bc Garland is like 7 inches smaller )

Schultz and a 4th for Kulak is reasonable enough.
Works better if Montreal intends to sign or flip Schultz.
They may get a 4th simply by retaining and moving Kulak, but this might be the next best thing.
