as in?
Vancouver doesn't want to trade Miller unless it's an overpayment, a package of kerfoot and robertson doesn't get it done

Oh my!

MTL fans: We make the craziest pie in the sky asks in all of CF!

This guy: Hold my Strathcona...

Just teasing, but yeah, Toronto and Boston recoil in horror. Probably Seattle, as well.

Heh. So the obvious solution is damn near the equivalent of five 1st rounders?

the Solution is offering the canucks a 1st and a young top4 RHD to play with Hughes, Miller is above PPG #1 center this year and has been in his time in Vancouver at 2.6mill cap hit yes he is worth 2 late 1sts 100%

How is Kniews 1st? He went in the 2nd round...
How is Niemela 1st? He went in the 3rd round....
How doesn't Schenn count as a 1st he went in the 1st round...

I get what you are trying to do. But I don't think adding many prospects would make sense for the leafs to even consider.
The value needs to be high (like really high). I don't think the leafs consider trading sandin (literally sets them back 3 to go forward 4) and robertson (nor do they have to - just add more picks and he gets injured alot. To high risk of a prospect).

I also don't think Niemelä is such low value to even consider throwing in this trade. He is great but considering the overall value you need - it's like 5% (basically a third at this point).

Leafs would have to give up;
1st, 2 2nds and a third. Amirov (which is a good value and suck to see him gone).

If it is anything more than that - dubas leaves. And I don't even think vancover retains. This is easily a 3 way trade.

Just because a player was drafted there doesn’t mean that’s their worth. Worth goes up and down. Niemela is the best offensive defenseman in the Finnish league. Knies has been ppg in the ncaa, made world juniors and the olympic team. Get out of here insinuating that garbage. The offer is a ridiculous overpay.

Many leafs fan looks to forget that JT has contract over next year to .. wit retain salary Sandin is a must and the 1st 2022...after that it's 2-3 prospects.... U also get schenn for 2 playoff runs wit a cap hit under 1 mil.... That cost also... So if they want JT it will cost the farm!

JT is great and contract would be great but I don't think vancover does the retaining. Also, I think vancover will try to find people that will help develop the players.

Sandin isn't even a talking point in this. I get your point but I think the more peopel make these made up trades will realize it isn't as simple as throwing the farm. Leafs wouldn't consider that even if it is for 2 years. Leafs need defence and so does vancover.

Seriously? You do know they don't all stay the value of the round they were chosen in forever, right? Knies and Niemela have shot up in value since being drafted. And nobody would ever confuse Luke Schenn with a 1st round caliber player. Hell, he stopped being worth that almost immediately after being drafted 400 years ago.

By your logic, Nail Yakupov, Riley Tufte and Connor Bleakley would qualify as meeting Arizona's ask for Chych.

Leafs don't need help in the offense side they need an upgrade in Defense and a reliable back up goaltender, any trading involving Sandin is a no go he wont be leaving anytime soon

Thats why i hate that kind of language. They aren’t pick, they’re prospects. Niemala and Knies have seen their stock rise since being drafted. I’m a bruins fan, so no leafs bias here. That package is a monstrous overpay.

Speaking of the bruins: Theres just no chance that Horvat ever gets Lysell.

Move along.
