Nobody should be doing Vegas such lovely favors right now. They should be screwing them to the wall. If you really want Patrick, Carrier and a 5th, at best you should make them give it all to you for free.

I get cheaper and already signed players, which is what Pittsburgh needs with his cap situation . Not saying those players are better this season, but you have look at it with hindsight. I don't think it's a significant downgrade, but based on reactions I should have asked for a higher pick.

It does not depend on anything. Carrier+Patrick is way lower than Kapanen alone will be.

Kapanen’s QO is 3.2 million. Carrier and Patrick’s cap hit together is 2.6 million hardly “way lower”. It’s a slight decrease. So as I said, if ZAR signed for a million or less next year then it’s not worth it. The increased production is worth the 1.6 million at worst extra cap hit.
